About Student Membership
The International Orthoptic Association (IOA) offers Individual Student Membership to orthoptic students currently enrolled in recognized orthoptic training programs in non-IOA country. This membership is designed to support students as they begin their professional journey, providing opportunities for learning, networking, and global collaboration.
Eligibility for Student Membership
To qualify for Student Membership, applicants must:
- Be actively enrolled in a nationally or internationally recognized orthoptic training program.
- Provide proof of student status (e.g., letter of enrollment, student ID, or confirmation from the training institution).

As a Student Member of the IOA, you gain access to a variety of resources and opportunities to help you grow as a future orthoptist:

Membership Fees
- First year of membership is free for new student members.
- After the complimentary year, the annual membership fee is £5 per year.
