Passing of Queen Elizabeth II
It is with great sadness that we learned about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022. She reigned over many member countries of the International Orthoptic Association as part of the Commonwealth. Many of our members mourn profoundly the death of their Queen. Long before the IOA was established the Queen visited one of the founding mothers of the profession Sheila Mayou. An era ends with the Queens death.
