Dear IOA Member,
You are reading my first quarterly newsletter for the IOA. Let me introduce myself. My name is Jan Roelof Polling, born and raised in the Netherlands. I became an orthoptist in 1998. After serving on the IOA Council of Management as the Dutch Representative, I was elected to serve as your next president of the IOA. I am succeeding Karen McMain who served this office from 2012 until June 2018. As your president, I have been working with the Council of Management to develop the IOA’s new strategic plan for 2019-2022. We plan to use these newsletters to keep you updated on this and all IOA business.
