The Grand Prize, sponsored by Zeiss Australia, is a complementary conference registration for one person for all days of our IOA congress in Brisbane, Australia, June 27th-29th 2025! The prize includes the basic entry fee for the Congress for one person. (Congress dinner, pre-meeting, workshops and other events, transportation, accommodations, and visa costs are not included). The winner will be announced by the end of June 2024.
All IOA members in good standing are eligible to compete for the prize! Only one prize will be awarded. If the video submitted has more than one author, the first author listed (aka the person sending the email) will be the recipient of the prize. If the winner is unable to attend the Congress, a monetary prize equivalent to Registration will not be awarded; the prize will instead go to the second-place video and so forth.
To enter the competition, you must submit your 1-minute video to the World Orthoptic Day Committee by email no later than Friday, June 9th, 2024, 23:59 UTC. You can send the video via email using wetransfer or any similar service. Remember, you must have written consent from any person who appears in the video and tell us your name and the IOA member country you represent. Contestants do not need to have a social media account to enter, but we encourage you to share your videos on social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn) with the tags @global_orthoptics #wod24 and #internationalorthopticassociation. The entered videos will be used to promote the IOA Congress and Orthoptics on all IOA social media platforms.
