The Brazilian Orthoptic Association celebrated World Orthoptic Day 2018 with vision screenings at the kindergarten in Sao Paulo. They examined a total of 128 children between the ages of 4 months and 5 years. Snellen visual acuity and ocular motility tests were performed in 57 children over the age of 4 years. The remaining 71 younger children had ocular motility screenings. The Brazilian Orthoptic Association achieved their vision screening goals in these young children and improved the visibility of the Orthoptist’s role in eye care in this one day event in honor of World Orthoptic Day.
