Ada van Mourik-Noordenbos served the International Orthoptic Association (IOA) as the Council Representative for The Netherlands from 1984 to 1992.

The WSPOS Subspecialty Day is a day long educational meeting comprising of update sessions on a wide variety of topics with contributions from global leaders in the field of paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. The 2019 Subspecialty Day will take place preceding the 37th Congress of the ESCRS in Pavilion 7, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles – 1 Place de la Porte de Versailles 75015, Paris.
